Position : Senior R&D Engineer

Salary : RM 10,000 - RM 16,000

Location : Damansara, Petaling Jaya

Working days : 10am – 7pm / Mon - Fri

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior R&D Engineer to lead innovation initiatives, solve complex technical challenges, and develop advanced technologies that enhance gaming experiences. This role involves researching emerging technologies, building prototypes, optimizing systems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive technical excellence and product innovation.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead R&D initiatives to explore and evaluate new technologies, tools, and workflows for game development
• Research, design, and develop prototypes for gameplay systems, AI features, graphics enhancements, and backend technologies
• Analyze technical challenges and propose scalable, innovative solutions to improve performance and user experience
• Evaluate and implement advanced technologies such as machine learning, procedural generation, physics simulation, and real-time rendering
• Collaborate closely with Design, Engineering, Art, and QA teams to integrate R&D outcomes into production environments
• Optimize system performance, memory usage, and game engine workflows for efficiency and scalability
• Prepare technical documentation, research findings, and best practice guidelines
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to support team development
• Contribute to long-term technical roadmap planning and continuous improvement initiatives
• Stay updated with industry trends, emerging gaming technologies, and development tools

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Game Development, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in game development, R&D engineering, or advanced technical roles
• Strong programming skills in C++, C#, or other relevant programming languages
• Experience working with major game engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine
• Solid understanding of computer graphics, AI systems, game physics, networking, or rendering technologies
• Ability to rapidly prototype and iterate technical ideas effectively
• Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Passion for gaming technologies and continuous innovation

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM10,000.00 - RM16,000.00 per month
