Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled PHP / Laravel Developer to design, develop, and maintain web applications using Laravel, PHP, MySQL, and Ubuntu-based environments. The ideal candidate is comfortable working across the full backend stack, understands Linux server environments, and writes clean, maintainable code.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance backend applications using PHP (Laravel framework)
  • Design and optimize MySQL database schemas, queries, and performance
  • Build RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain applications on Ubuntu/Linux servers
  • Troubleshoot application, database, and server-level issues
  • Write clean, reusable, testable, and well-documented code
  • Collaborate with frontend developers, QA, and product stakeholders
  • Ensure application security, performance, and scalability
  • Participate in code reviews and technical discussions

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong experience with PHP and Laravel
  • Solid understanding of MySQL (indexes, joins, optimization)
  • Hands-on experience with Ubuntu/Linux environments
  • Familiarity with MVC architecture and RESTful APIs
  • Experience using Git for version control
  • Basic knowledge of server setup (Nginx/Apache, PHP-FPM, cron jobs)
  • Ability to debug and resolve production issues independently

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with Docker or containerized deployments
  • Knowledge of queue systems (Redis, Laravel Queues)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience with frontend basics (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, DigitalOcean, Azure)
