We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to support electrical engineering and execution activities for FPSO, Oil & Gas, and Data Centre projects. This role is open to fresh graduates or candidates with some relevant experience who are eager to learn and grow in the industry. You will work closely with senior engineers in design, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the electrical engineering team in FPSO/Data Centre projects to ensure timely delivery of engineering tasks.
- Assist in the design, specification, and procurement of electrical systems, including power generation, distribution, motors, switchgear, and control systems.
- Follow international standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, API, NEC) and client specifications.
- Review and approve electrical engineering documents, including: Single-line diagrams, Load schedules, Cable sizing calculations, Equipment datasheets & specifications, and Electrical layouts
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines (mechanical, instrumentation, and process) to support an integrated design approach.
- Participate in design reviews, HAZOP studies, and risk assessments.
- Support procurement activities by reviewing vendor documents and assisting in technical evaluations.
- Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems during the construction phase.
- Follow project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Support troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues.
- Communicate with team members and stakeholders as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Open to fresh graduates; candidates with up to 1–2 years of relevant experience are welcome to apply.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems design, including HV/LV distribution, transformers, generators, and motor control centres.
- Familiarity with engineering software such as ETAP, SKM, or similar tools (academic or internship experience is acceptable).
- Exposure to FPSO, Oil & Gas, or Data Centre projects is an advantage, but not required.
- Willingness to learn industry standards and practices, including IEC, IEEE, and marine classification requirements (e.g., DNV, ABS).
- Good communication and problem-solving skills, with a willingness to learn and grow in a team environment.
