Responsibilities
Founded in the early 1950s, SINOHYDRO is originally well known as China's first brand in hydropower construction, responsible for 65% of the large- and medium-scale hydropower stations in the country. However, after 60years of expansion and development, SINOHYDRO has become a global enterprise, running diversified businesses from water conservancy and hydropower construction to project financing, design, implementation and operation in almost all kinds of infrastructures such as power, transportation, civil work, mining and real estate. We have 4 regional offices and 3 branches abroad in Asia, Africa, Oceania, South America and Europe (see Global Network) to supervise market development of 91 overseas offices in 69 countries. The dynamic system ensures that SINOHYDRO can provide clients with best-quality one-stop service from project consultancy, financing, survey, design and engineering to construction, fabrication, installation and operation.
Project Planning and Coordination: Review project plans, drawings, and specifications; develop detailed project schedules; coordinate the use of materials, labour, and equipment.
Site Supervision and Management: Monitor the construction site to ensure work is carried out according to plans and specifications; implement quality control to ensure construction meets standards; enforce safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
Problem Solving and Decision Making: Identify and resolve site issues; provide technical support and guidance.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain records of work progress, site conditions, and changes to plans; prepare and submit progress reports.
Communication and Coordination: Communicate with clients, project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders; attend project meetings, provide updates, and discuss issues.
Compliance and Standards: Ensure all work complies with building codes and standards; implement environmental measures.
Cost Management: Track project expenses, manage the budget, and handle the cost and schedule impact of change orders.
Testing and Inspection: Oversee the testing and inspection of materials and construction work to ensure compliance with specifications.
Collaboration: Work closely with architects, engineers, and other professionals; provide guidance and training to junior engineers and other site staff.
