Responsibilities

Position Title: Procurement Assistant

Our client is a Singapore-based company operating in the retail and F&B sectors, with locations in Geylang and Suntec City. They are currently seeking a Procurement Assistant to support the full spectrum of procurement activities, including sourcing, obtaining quotations, negotiating with suppliers, placing orders, and coordinating deliveries.

Job Description:

  • Support the full spectrum of procurement activities — sourcing, quotation, negotiation, order placement, and delivery coordination.
  • Ensure all purchases comply with user specifications and company policies.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and vendors for optimal pricing, payment terms, and timely delivery.
  • Expedite orders and monitor deliveries to meet project timelines.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, pricing data, and documentation.
  • Liaise with suppliers on product quality issues, claims, and replacements.
  • Coordinate with logistics and finance teams on delivery and payment matters.
  • Collaborate with project, sales, and procurement teams to support operational needs.
  • Evaluate and manage supplier performance based on quality, cost, and reliability.
  • Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and stay updated on market trends.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and procedures.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the immediate superior or management.

Job Requirements:

  • Diploma or Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related discipline.
  • Minimum 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in procurement or purchasing.
  • Knowledge of local and overseas material and equipment sources.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Bilingual in English and Mandarin to liaise with especially with Mandarin-speaking suppliers.
  • Proactive, independent, and a strong team player with a positive attitude.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to $3,500.00 per month
