Software Developer - 1 year contract

We are seeking a hands-on Application Developer to support technology initiatives that enhance business operations and drive value creation across the organisation. This role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders to analyse requirements, improve workflows, develop technology solutions, and support critical business applications within a fund management environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to deliver technology solutions and process improvements
• Analyse current systems, workflows, and business requirements to recommend and implement enhancements
• Manage assigned projects, timelines, and deliverables
• Design, develop, test, and troubleshoot applications and system enhancements
• Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and resolve defects/issues
• Provide application support and perform problem investigation and resolution
• Monitor daily application batch processes and escalate issues when required.

Requirements:

• Experience with fund management systems such as Bloomberg AIM, BlackRock Aladdin, Charles River, or FactSet is an advantage
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, .NET, and SSIS
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Experience with VBA, Power Apps, Power BI, Tableau, and SharePoint
• Interest or exposure to Microsoft Copilot and Copilot Studio is a plus
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Information Technology or related discipline
• 3–5 years of relevant IT experience
• Prior experience in a fund management or asset management environment is preferred.
