As the world is becoming more digital, there is a dire need to be educated with tech skills to safeguard our future. NEXT Academy has been on a mission to educate people from various background to learn to code apps.

We have seen many graduates who started with zero knowledge currently employed as coders in various startups, MNCs and dev houses.

If you are a full stack coder who wants to give a different path in life a try, we welcome you onboard as a mentor!

As a mentor, we are up-to-date with the movement in the the tech scene and our goal is to help our students learn the concept and best practices in a practical way. It is not just merely teaching; we will ideate ways together to hack learning behaviours and to gamify their learning experience.

During downtimes, we will explore new tech and build some fun cool indie projects together. Everything we do serves as an inspiration to our students and to the public on the power of tech.

Objective

Key Functions

• Design and create course content
• Conduct classes
• Design learning experience
• Explore new tech and build mini projects together with the team

Requirements

• Know frontend programming (Frontend Basics: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Frontend Framework: ReactJS/ VueJS)
• Know backend programming (Either JavaScript – NodeJS, Python – Flask, Django) (alternatively, you are adaptable to these languages and framework)
• Great self-initiative and sense of responsibility
• Have a heart for people
• Data driven mindset (we will measure the progress of students)
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Passionate about the digital age and technology
• Fluent in written and spoken English

Good to have

• Have some teaching experience (or open to learn how to teach)
