Senior AI Engineer

Location: Bukit Jalil City, 57000 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

We are looking for a Senior AI Lead to drive the practical adoption of Artificial Intelligence across the organization. This role is ideal for an experienced AI professional who has already delivered real, production‑ready AI solutions and is ready to take ownership of strategy, delivery, and team leadership—without requiring decades of experience.

You will lead high‑impact AI initiatives focused on process improvement, automation, and data‑driven decision‑making, working closely with cross‑functional teams and external partners.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

• Build, mentor, and guide a small but high‑impact AI/ML team focused on applied, business‑driven solutions.
• Translate business challenges into AI roadmaps and scalable solutions aligned with broader digital transformation goals.
• Drive the design, development, and deployment of AI models, agentic workflows, copilots, and automation tools that improve real‑world processes.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, Commercial, and Technology teams to embed AI into everyday tools and ways of working.
• Ensure AI solutions follow enterprise standards for scalability, security, and responsible AI use.
• Stay current with emerging AI trends, experiment through proofs‑of‑concept, and bring best practices into the organization.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in AI, Machine Learning, or Applied Data Science
• Demonstrated success delivering production‑ready AI or ML solutions
• Strong foundations in machine learning, deep learning, NLP, and data pipelines
• Experience with modern AI tools such as AI agents, copilots, and enterprise AI platforms
• Experience leading projects or small teams (formal people management experience is a plus, but not mandatory)
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value for non‑technical stakeholders
• Experience applying AI in construction, engineering, infrastructure, or capital projects is a strong advantage
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in AI, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
