Role Summary

We seek a dynamic and passionate individual to fill the position of Senior Quality Engineer (Test Automation). The candidate must have a firm grasp of end-to-end test automation execution that includes a great understanding of test automation frameworks, test automation tools, and its execution in CI environments. This is a 6-month fixed-term contract role.

Responsibilities

• Guide and drive discussions, support decision-making in processes and solutions, and mentor in discussions.
• Oversee and deliver the Design, Execution & Maintenance of end-to-end manual/automated tests based on User Stories and Acceptance Criteria for both UI/API and guide team members effectively.
• Develop and advocate for new best practices and optimizing existing processes.
• Take ownership of documentation for assigned areas, ensuring completeness, consistency, and clarity.
• Champion compliance and standards, drive adherence, and resolve issues.
• Drive and support team collaboration by coordinating efforts and fostering strong team dynamics.
• Work closely with respective leads to ensure alignment on goals and timelines.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software testing (manual & automation) with strong understanding of software testing techniques, including integration testing, system testing, and acceptance testing.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with test automation tools demonstrated by expertise in developing and executing automated test scripts using industry-standard automation tools and frameworks (Selenium/ Cypress/Playwright or equivalent)
• 5+ years of hands-on-experience in API testing (Postman/RestAssured)
• 5+ years of experience in programming and scripting languages like Python/SQL/Java/JavaScript.
• 5+ years of proven experience in CI/CD tools like Jenkins/GitHub Actions/Spinnaker
• 5+ years of experience in Agile frameworks solid understanding in Scrum or Kanban.
• AI tools - general familiarity with AI-assisted testing and automation (prompting, generating/triaging test cases, synthesizing test data, accelerating documentation)
• Proficient in managing time, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines.
• Drive team collaboration, align with team goals, and maintain a positive team dynamic.
• Excel in hybrid work environments, fostering team collaboration across diversesettings.
• Strong communicator, adept at influencing decisions, and mentoring others.
