Role Overview
The Process Engineer (PE) is responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production operations, high product quality, and cost-effective manufacturing performance. This role supports New Product Introduction (NPI), pilot runs, and mass production activities by establishing standardized processes, troubleshooting technical issues, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
The Process Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams including Production, Quality, R&D, and Supply Chain to improve process stability, enhance production yield, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards within the electronics manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, optimize, and maintain manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI), pilot runs, and mass production transfer activities.
- Analyze production workflows and identify opportunities for process improvement and yield enhancement.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing and process-related technical issues to minimize downtime and improve operational stability.
- Establish and maintain SOPs, work instructions, process flow documentation, and process parameters.
- Collaborate with Production, Quality, R&D, and Supply Chain teams to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to address process deviations and quality concerns.
- Monitor and analyze production data to improve process capability and manufacturing performance.
- Ensure compliance with ISO9001, QC080000, ISO14001, ESD, safety, and other regulatory requirements.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives including Lean Manufacturing, 7S, and process standardization projects.
- Support safety initiatives and maintain compliance with workplace safety standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or related fields.
Training & Certifications
- Knowledge or training in FMEA, Quality Management, 7S, ESD, ISO9001, QC080000, ISO14001, and Safety Awareness.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Process Engineer in an electronics manufacturing environment.
- Experience in New Product Introduction (NPI), pilot runs, and mass production transfer.
Skills & Competencies
- Solid understanding of Process Engineering fundamentals and manufacturing process optimization.
- Good understanding of switching power supply principles and manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with electronics manufacturing safety and regulatory requirements.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
