About the role:
As a Process Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing assembly processes, ensuring products are built to specification with consistent quality. You will oversee machine and equipment setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting, provide technical guidance and training to production teams, and drive process development and improvement initiatives.
This role also involves handling RMA (Return Material Authorization) parts, developing SOPs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturing activities meet quality, safety, and productivity standards.
Responsibilities:
- Process Control, Assembly & Transfer Support: Control and monitor assembly processes, support process development and transfer projects, and ensure products are built according to specifications with consistent quality and performance.
- Machine, Equipment & Automation Support: Set up, troubleshoot, maintain, and optimize soldering/welding equipment, vision inspection machines, robotic systems, and other engineering equipment to support stable and efficient production.
- Technical Support, RMA Handling & Problem Solving: Provide hands-on technical support to production, handle RMA parts, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions to resolve issues and prevent recurrence.
- Manufacturing Improvement & Yield Enhancement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve production yield, efficiency, and cost effectiveness, while developing best practices and innovative solutions to reduce waste.
- Training, SOP Development & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Provide technical guidance and training to production teams, establish system procedures and SOPs, and work closely with Quality and Production teams to resolve customer complaints effectively.
- Safety, Compliance & Process Control Assurance: Ensure critical processes and control points are properly controlled, maintain a safe and healthy workplace, and ensure compliance with company policies and safety procedures.
Requirements:
- Minimum Degree in Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics, or a related Engineering field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in cable assembly or connector-related processes is an added advantage.
- Familiar with process control, process improvement, and problem-solving tools/methodologies.
- Experience in equipment maintenance is an added advantage.
- Strong data analysis skills, statistical aptitude, and attention to detail.
- Good verbal and written communication in English.

Our client is seeking a proactive Process Engineer to optimize manufacturing operations.
