Responsibilities:
1)Credit Strategy & Policy
- Develop, implement, and continuously enhance credit policies, frameworks, and procedures
- Align credit strategy with business goals, risk appetite, and regulatory requirements
- Monitor market trends and proactively refine credit risk frameworks
2)Credit Operations & Approval
- Oversee daily credit operations, including credit approval and credit review functions
- Approve high-value and complex cases beyond delegated authority levels
- Ensure robust evaluation of creditworthiness using financials, CCRIS data, and risk indicators
- Participate in credit committees and key decision-making forums
3)Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 20–25 credit professionals nationwide
- Foster a high-performance, accountable, and solutions-driven culture
- Drive capability building through training in credit assessment, compliance, and fraud detection
4)Risk Management & Compliance
- Monitor portfolio performance and identify early warning signals (e.g., delinquency trends)
- Partner with Risk and Credit Review teams to mitigate emerging risks
- Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., KYC, credit exposure, documentation standards)
- Act as key liaison with Bank Negara Malaysia on CCRIS-related matters
5)Project & Process Excellence
- Lead and support credit-related projects and transformation initiatives
- Collaborate with Product, Risk, and IT teams to enhance credit decisioning tools (e.g., scorecards, automation, AI-driven solutions)
- Drive process improvements to improve turnaround time, efficiency, and scalability
6)Regional & Stakeholder Management
- Oversee credit operations across regional teams (Penang, Johor, Sabah, Sarawak)
- Partner closely with Sales, Collections, Legal, and Operations to ensure seamless customer journey
- Provide insights and regular reporting to senior management on credit performance and risk trends
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Banking, Economics, or related field
- 10–15 years of experience in credit management, preferably within banking or financial services
- At least 5–7 years in a managerial / leadership role
- Strong experience in credit evaluation, approval, and portfolio risk management
- Proven ability to lead large teams (20+ headcount) and manage nationwide operations
- Strong decision-making, strategic thinking, and business planning skills
- Experience managing credit-related projects or transformation initiatives is a plus
- Professional certifications such as CCE / CCR are advantageous
Pay: RM10,000.00 - RM16,000.00 per month
