Job Summary:
As part of Aviation and Checkpoint Inspection (ACI) team, this role will be involved in projects across all stages of the product lifecycle, from initial concept generation, new product introduction and continuous improvement in manufacture. The position is responsible for designing electrical systems for ACI scanning equipment, including control panel design, block cable diagrams, schematic drawings, BoM generation, revision control, and lifecycle management activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret specifications and customer requirements from Sales, Project Managers and Engineering Management.
- Research and develop alternatives to current components or designs.
- Support NPD (New Product Development) projects hands-on, with prototyping and Commissioning
- Produce technical documentation to support designs.
- Create electrical schematics and 3D panel layouts using tools such as AutoCAD, Siemans PADS, Eplan P8 and Pro Panel.
- Export BoM data for electrical hardware.
- Issue designs into the Product Lifecycle Management system via the change management process.
- Understanding of industrial standards and compliance (e.g. IEC, UL/CE, preferred)
- Work with Chief Product Engineers to design new innovative products.
- Provide technical support to all areas of the business throughout the lifecycle of a product.
- Work within the company quality and safety procedures.
- Provide service support and action engineering change requests allocated.
- Demonstrate behaviour consistent with the company’s Code of Ethics and Conduct
- Report any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a relevant field of work
- Strong knowledge of electrical control systems including PLC systems.
- Experience in an electrical CAD package (AutoCAD)
- Experience in a PLM system (Oracle Agile, Propel Siemens TeamCenter, etc.)
- Practical experience in wiring control panels / test rigs.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, OneNote, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams & Word).
- Flexibility to respond to changing business needs.
- Visit sites internationally as required.
- Great time management skills.
- Able to work as part of a team and individually.
Pay: RM7,000.00 - RM9,000.00 per month
