Overview:
This is an application production support role with focus on major project management across multiple business lines. The role requires the candidate to contribute to key projects based on the core production management work streams such as projects across business lines, stability programs like Automation & Self-Service and Application Resilience. You will also have the opportunity to be involved in onboarding applications into the production environment and working with the global teams on transformational projects and interesting strategic initiatives. This provides opportunities to build cross-organizational relationships by leading projects on behalf of the team. As part of the application production team, the candidate will also be required to contribute to daily production support tasks such as issue investigation and incident management.
Responsibilities:
Project management and coordination
- Act as a Project Manager for assigned the projects within GM, ensuring timely delivery and stakeholder alignment
- Drive the projects and coordinate across business lines and stakeholders from IT, business, compliance etc.
- Create and maintain run-book documentation and procedures for identified scenarios, ensuring clear guidance for all operational activities. Front-Office Trading Support
- Serve as the primary contact for electronic execution teams (front-office and middle-office).
- Provide day-to-day assistance and respond to business queries on order behavior and technical issues. System Health, Monitoring & Readiness
- Perform daily start-of-day (SOD) health checks, weekend and holiday readiness checks.
- Use the main monitoring tool, continually improve its effectiveness, and conduct feasibility/impact studies for new solutions. Incident & Problem Management
- Manage incidents from external (exchange) problems to internal application bugs, handling communication, coordination, and resolution.
- Conduct exposure/reconciliation, post-incident reviews, and ensure permanent fixes (problem management). Vendor Coordination & Release Governance
- Liaise with software vendors, act as gatekeeper for production changes, and oversee release management.
- Schedule, communicate, and execute binary/configuration deployments after market close or on weekends. Operational Excellence & Automation
- Drive a stable operating environment through daily tasks, incident/problem handling, and onboarding of new applications/services.
- Lead stability initiatives, operational-excellence projects, and automate repetitive tasks. Global Coverage & Collaboration
- Participate in shift work, weekend activities, and bank-holiday coverage on a rotating “follow-the-sun” model.
- Work with global counterparts to ensure a unified approach to issues and participate in market rehearsals, disaster-recovery drills, and DR exercises.
Technical and Behavioral Competencies

- Working knowledge in UNIX and Linux operating systems

- Experience with managing platforms in Linux and Windows environment
- Previous experience with Global Prime Finance system support and knowledge of the trade life cycle is desirable
- Experienced with monitoring and deployment tools
- Prior experience in managing key business and technology stakeholders would be a plus Qualifications and Experience
- University qualification with IT Major
- Mandarin proficiency would be a plus
- 3-8 years working experience in financial institution (Front Office users support experience is desirable)
- Minimum 3 years working experience in driving major projects and project coordination in financial institution
