Responsibilities
  • Work with architects to understand end-to-end architecture, and individual application architecture
  • Work with business analysts to understand business requirements
  • Produce technical design document for assigned modules, and develop according to specification
  • Collaborate with other developer for API integration, and system integration tests
  • Follow good coding practice to produce clean, readable, testable, and secure code
  • Develop, test and maintain web applications frontend using Angular/ React/JavaScript/HTML/CSS.
  • Implement responsive web design principles to ensure the application works seamlessly on various devices and screen sizes
  • Develop, test and maintain web application backend using Nodejs/Express, with SSR or APIs
  • Support fortnightly deployments.
  • Provide L3 support for production
  • Senior developers are expected to participate in architecture/framework discussion, improve development process, and conduct code reviews
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by superior from time to time

Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years development experience
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript with Typescript, and experience with React/Angular
  • Good understanding of responsive design principles
  • Understanding of state management Redux or equivalent
  • Good understanding of RESTful API and able to make API in Express
  • Knowledge of Webpack, npm and/or Yarn
  • Good knowledge of RDBMS, SQL, and ORM; experience with NoSQL/distributed caching solutions preferred
  • Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles
  • Some experience with container technologies – docker/docker swarm, Kubernetes preferred
  • Some experience with API gateway preferred
  • Familiarity with microservice based application architecture preferred
  • Good working knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle and has experience using tools such as GIT and JIRA
  • Some functional knowledge of telco BSS highly preferred; experience with TMF SID/Open API a big plus
