Responsibilities
Job Responsibility
Machine Setup – Set up CNC milling and turning machines according to work orders and engineering drawings. This includes loading materials, setting up tooling, and establishing proper machine parameters.
Operation – Operate CNC machines to produce parts according to specifications. Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary to maintain quality and efficiency.
Tool Changes – Perform tool changes as required, ensuring that the correct tools are used for each job and that they are properly maintained.
CNC Programming – Create and modify CNC programs using CAD/CAM software or manually at the machine. Optimise programs to enhance efficiency and reduce cycle times. G-Code and M-Code: Write and edit G-code and M-code programs to control machine operations and tool movements.
Inspection – Conduct first-piece, in-process, and final inspections of machined parts using precision measuring instruments such as micrometres and callipers.
Standards Compliance – Ensure all machined parts meet or exceed quality and precision standards as specified in engineering drawings and quality control plans.
Machine Maintenance – Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure they are in good working condition. Report any mechanical or operational issues to maintenance personnel.
Troubleshooting- Diagnose and resolve issues with CNC machines, tools, or programs to minimise downtime and maintain production efficiency.
Process Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of machine setups, tool changes, and production runs. Document any deviations from standard processes.
Reporting – Report production metrics, quality issues, and machine performance to supervisors and quality control personnel.
Safety Protocols – Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Regulatory Compliance- Ensure all operations comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
CNC Machining – Proficient in operating CNC milling and turning machines, with a strong understanding of machining principles and practices.
Programming: Skilled in CNC programming, including the use of CAD/CAM software and manual G-code and M-code programming.
Tooling Knowledge – Familiarity with a wide range of cutting tools and their applications in CNC milling and turning operations.
Precision Measurement – Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments to inspect machined parts.
Attention to Detail – High level of attention to detail to ensure parts meet stringent quality standards.
Problem-Solving – Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve machining issues.
Process Optimisation – Ability to analyse machining processes and make improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
Job Requirement
1. Min. ITE / Diploma in mechanical engineering-related courses or any equivalent.
2. CNC Machines Knowledge: 3-Axis & 4-Axis.
3. Mastercam 2022 Knowledge is a plus.
4. A minimum of 2-3 years of metal fabrication or precision engineering experience.
5. Detail-orientated with CNC machine background.
6. Good verbal and written communication skills.
7. Self-motivated to work independently with team support & minima guidance.
8. Preferably specialising in manufacturing/production operation management or equivalent.
Pay: $1,700.00 - $3,000.00 per month
