Are you a strong Data Engineer who loves solving big data challenges?

We are hiring a Lead Data Engineer for our client, on a 12-month contract. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys leading migration projects and working with modern cloud tools.

You will lead the migration from Informatica PowerCenter to Informatica IDMC. You will help build clean, secure, and high-performing data systems using AWS, Azure, Databricks, and Informatica IDMC.

If you enjoy leading teams, solving complex data problems, and building smart data pipelines, this role is for you.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full migration from Informatica PowerCenter (CDI-PC) to Informatica IDMC.
• Build and manage mappings, workflows, and Secure Agents in IDMC.
• Design and develop ETL processes to clean and transform data.
• Integrate data from many sources into AWS and Databricks.
• Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency.
• Improve performance of data pipelines and queries.
• Apply data security and encryption best practices.
• Support data governance and compliance using IDMC.
• Maintain clear and simple documentation of all data systems.
• Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and engineers.
• Solve data issues quickly and ensure smooth operations.
• Support DevOps practices, version control (Git), and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
• 1012 years of strong experience in data engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter and IDMC.
• Strong knowledge of AWS or Azure services.
• Experience working with Databricks and Spark.
• Strong understanding of ETL processes and data quality.
• Experience in BI tools such as Tableau or Oracle Analytics Server.
• Strong SQL skills (Oracle, Teradata, MS-SQL).
• Working knowledge of Python or Java.
• Good problem-solving and communication skills.
• Experience in full project lifecycle (minimum 2 cycles).
• AWS / Databricks / IDMC certifications are a plus.
• Healthcare industry experience is an advantage.
