Responsibilities
My client is a global quantitative trading firm powered by scientific rigor, curiosity, and innovation; with technology at the core of everything they do. They’re hiring multiple Site Reliability Engineers (SREs) in Singapore. Responsibilities
- Build and improve platforms that power trading teams and support research infrastructure
- Drive the scalability of production systems as trading volumes and complexity grow
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable, resilient systems
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure optimal operation
- Partner with development teams to improve system reliability and performance at the code and architecture level
- Develop and implement automation tools to streamline operations and reduce toil
- Ensure security and compliance standards are met across production environments
- Provide technical support and guidance to other engineering teams
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience with Python on large distributed systems, with proven SRE or similar production engineering experience
- Strong understanding of system architecture and cloud technologies (AWS preferred)
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Datadog, CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk)
- Solid production experience on Linux platforms
- Proven success working with large data sets
- Mindset – Strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity, self-direction, and a commercially oriented focus on business outcomes
- Education – Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Work style – Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Finance – Industry experience is preferred but not required
