Position Summary
The CFO will serve as a strategic business partner to the director and senior leadership team, overseeing the company’s financial strategy, governance, compliance, operational finance, treasury, and long-term business planning.
The role requires a commercially driven finance leader with strong healthcare, or service-industry exposure who can support growth, strengthen financial controls, improve profitability, and drive business transformation initiatives.
The CFO is expected to balance strategic leadership with hands-on operational execution suitable for a mid-sized and rapidly scaling organization.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Financial Leadership
- Lead and oversee the company’s overall financial strategy and direction.
- Advise the CEO and Board on financial planning, expansion strategies, risk management, and investment decisions.
- Develop long-term financial models and business growth strategies.
- Drive profitability, operational efficiency, and sustainable financial performance.
- Support mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, and regional expansion opportunities where applicable.
Financial Management & Reporting
- Oversee full-spectrum finance operations including:
- Financial reporting
- Budgeting & forecasting
- Cash flow management
- Treasury functions
- Tax planning
- Cost control
- Financial analysis
- Ensure timely preparation of:
- Monthly management accounts
- Quarterly financial reviews
- Annual audited financial statements
- Present financial performance reports and insights to senior management and Board members.
- Monitor KPIs, EBITDA performance, revenue growth, and departmental profitability.
Corporate Governance & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with:
- Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS)
- Tax regulations
- SST requirements
- Statutory compliance
- Internal audit controls
- Liaise with:
- External auditors
- Tax agents
- Company secretaries
- Banks
- Regulatory authorities
- Strengthen internal controls, SOPs, governance frameworks, and financial policies.
Commercial & Operational Finance
- Evaluate pricing strategies, operational margins, and service profitability.
- Support healthcare operational units with financial insights and resource planning.
- Improve financial workflows, procurement controls, and working capital efficiency.
- Lead cost optimization and business turnaround initiatives where necessary.
- Oversee client billing structures, claims reconciliation, corporate client accounts, and revenue cycle management.
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and mentor the finance and accounts department.
- Build a high-performance finance culture focused on accountability, efficiency, and business partnership.

RequirementsEducation & Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- Professional certification preferred:
- ACCA
- CPA
- ICAEW
- CIMA
- MICPA
- MBA is an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 10–15 years of finance leadership experience.
- Prior experience as CFO, Finance Director, or Senior Finance Manager preferred.
- Strong exposure to:
- Healthcare
- Insurtech
- Specialist Medical services
- Healthcare technology
- Service-based organizations
- Experience managing businesses with RM45 million–RM100 million annual turnover preferred.
- Proven track record in business transformation, scaling operations, and financial restructuring is advantageous.
