About the Role

We are recruiting on behalf of a global leader in electronics manufacturing and advanced technology solutions. This is a senior-to-principal level opportunity for a thermal engineering specialist to drive end-to-end development of AI Server Thermal Modules, covering next-generation server cooling and liquid cooling solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead thermal module design and development, including cold plate architecture, liquid cooling integration, and thermal system optimisation
  • Conduct thermal performance testing, validation, and reliability evaluation for AI server cooling modules
  • Drive process development and optimisation for thermal module manufacturing and mass production readiness
  • Perform PFMEA, root cause analysis, and corrective actions related to thermal module performance and reliability issues
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with mechanical, material, process, manufacturing, and global project teams to support New Product Introduction (NPI)
  • Support design verification, thermal simulation feedback, and product performance improvements across development stages
  • Collect and analyse field issues and provide technical input to support next-generation cooling solution enhancements
  • Support global AI server projects across concept design, prototype development, NPI, and production ramp-up phases

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, Materials Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Master's Degree or PhD is highly preferred, particularly with specialisation in Thermal Engineering, Heat Transfer, Fluid Dynamics, or Mechanical Design
  • Senior Engineer: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
  • Principal Engineer / Technical Expert: 8–15+ years of thermal module or cooling system development experience
  • Prior experience in AI server, data centre, liquid cooling systems, or thermal module development is preferred
  • Proven track record supporting projects from R&D through mass production transfer
  • Experience in cross-functional collaboration and leading technical problem-solving

Technical Skills

  • Strong foundation in thermal management principles, heat transfer, and cooling system architecture
  • Hands-on experience with liquid cooling technologies — cold plates, heat sinks, cooling loops, and thermal interface materials
  • Knowledge of thermal reliability evaluation, PFMEA, and failure analysis methodologies
  • Proficiency with thermal simulation tools such as ANSYS Icepak, FloTHERM, CFD, or equivalent software
  • Experience in thermal testing, validation, and performance optimisation methodologies
  • Familiarity with server systems, AI computing platforms, or high-power electronic thermal solutions is an advantage
