ROLE SUMMARY
The Sales Executive is responsible for promoting and selling the Company’s products and services, including those assigned by Management. The role involves generating leads, conducting product demonstrations, explaining product benefits to customers, closing sales, and supporting promotional activities through field engagement and digital channels. This role requires strong sales drive, confidence in product presentation, interest in sports, fitness or wellness solutions, and the ability to work independently towards sales and commission-based targets.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Sales Generation & Customer Acquisition
- Actively identify, approach, and secure potential customers for assigned Company products through direct sales, referrals, events, online platforms, and other sales channels.
- Promote and sell the assigned products by clearly explaining their usage, features, benefits, and suitability to customer needs.
- Develop and maintain a consistent sales pipeline, including prospects, warm leads, appointments, demonstrations, follow-ups, and confirmed sales.
- Achieve assigned sales targets, conversion goals, and commission-based performance expectations set by Management.
- Build long-term customer relationships to encourage repeat purchases, referrals, testimonials, and positive product awareness.
B. Product Demonstration & Customer Education
- Conduct product demonstrations in a professional and engaging manner, ensuring customers understand how the product is used safely and effectively.
- Provide basic coaching and product guidance to customers based on approved product information, demonstration scripts, and Management’s direction.
- Translate technical or product-related information into simple and customer-friendly explanations during sales presentations.
- Respond to customer enquiries professionally, including questions relating to product function, usage, suitability, package options, and payment arrangements.
- Ensure all claims and explanations made during product presentations remain accurate, responsible, and aligned with approved Company communication materials.
C. Marketing, Promotion & Brand Awareness
- Support product promotion through social media content, short videos, live demonstrations, roadshows, events, and other marketing initiatives for Company products.
- Assist in developing customer-facing product messages, testimonials, demonstrations, and simple promotional materials to strengthen market interest across assigned products.
- Participate in exhibitions, health and wellness events, fitness-related activities, and client engagement sessions as required.
- Work closely with the internal team to create awareness and generate interest in assigned products among relevant market segments.
D. Sales Coordination & Reporting
- Maintain proper records of leads, customer enquiries, demonstrations, follow-up status, closed sales, and commission-related information.
- Prepare regular sales updates and share market feedback with Management to support business planning and product positioning.
- Coordinate with internal personnel on product availability, demonstration arrangements, customer requirements, payment status, and delivery matters.
- Escalate customer concerns, objections, or service issues to the appropriate person for timely resolution.
E. Market Feedback & Continuous Improvement
- Gather feedback from customers and potential buyers on product acceptance, pricing, objections, usage experience, and competitor offerings for the assigned company products.
- Continuously improve personal selling techniques, product knowledge, communication style, and customer engagement approach.
- Observe market trends in fitness, wellness, sports, and lifestyle products to identify potential sales opportunities.
- Carry out any other sales, marketing, or business development-related tasks assigned by Management from time to time.
EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Certificate or Diploma in Sports Science, Fitness, Exercise Science, Physiotherapy, Wellness, Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or any related field from a recognised institution.
- Minimum of 2–3 years of working experience in sales, product promotion, fitness, wellness, sports-related sales, retail sales, or customer-facing product demonstration roles.
- Candidates with a background in sports science, gym instruction, fitness coaching, physiotherapy support, wellness products, or related product-based sales will have an added advantage.
- Strong interest in sales, product demonstration, customer engagement, and commission-based performance.
- Able to understand product features and explain them clearly to customers with different levels of knowledge and familiarity.
- Good verbal communication skills in English ability to communicate in additional languages will be an added advantage.
- Basic knowledge of social media promotion, simple content creation, or online customer engagement will be an added advantage.
- Proficiency in basic Microsoft Office applications and simple sales reporting tools.
REQUIREMENTS
- Sales-driven, energetic, confident, and comfortable approaching new customers.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision and follow through on leads until closure.
- Comfortable conducting product demonstrations and explaining product usage to customers.
- Willing to travel, attend external appointments, and support events or promotional activities as required.
- Good personal presentation, interpersonal skills, and customer service mindset.
- Own transport and willing to travel when required.
- Able to start within a reasonable notice period.
