About the Role:
As a CBRE Facilities Engineer, you will perform complexpreventive and corrective maintenance, repairs and installations of electrical,mechanical, plumbing and/or HVAC equipment, machinery and controls located inthe interior and exterior of buildings. Working under general direction,monitors building system operations and performance. Has critical, specializedknowledge required at client site.
What You’ll Do:
Plan, coordinate, and execute preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities for facility equipment and systems.
Prepare annual maintenance plans and schedules to ensure smooth facility operation and minimum downtime.
Manage and monitor maintenance budgets, including cost control, expenditure tracking, and budget forecasting.
Liaise and conduct regular meetings with clients to discuss facility performance, ongoing issues, improvement plans, and compliance matters.
Supervise and oversee technicians, supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure maintenance activities are carried out safely and effectively.
Conduct staff training, competency assessments, and performance monitoring to improve technical capability and work quality.
Coordinate with vendors and contractors for servicing, repair, project execution, and spare part procurement.
Perform vendor evaluation, quotation comparison, and commercial negotiation to achieve cost-effective solutions.
Ensure all facility systems and maintenance activities comply with local authority requirements, safety regulations, environmental requirements, and client standards.
Prepare and review safety documentation including Permit to Work (PTW), Risk Assessment (RA), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Method of Statement (MOS), and other related documents.
Support safety initiatives and ensure safe work practices are implemented during maintenance and project activities.
Monitor facility performance, utilities consumption, equipment reliability, and maintenance KPIs, and implement improvement actions where necessary.
Attend breakdowns, troubleshoot facility issues, and coordinate recovery actions to minimize operational impact.
Prepare maintenance reports, incident reports, service records, and presentation materials for management and clients.
Support audits, inspections, and compliance assessments by clients and regulatory authorities.
Coordinate facility improvement works, minor projects, shutdown activities, and equipment replacement planning.
Ensure proper documentation, filing, and updating of maintenance records and asset information in CMMS or related systems.
Perform any other duties assigned by management related to facility operation and maintenance.
What You’ll Need:
Degree in electrical engineering, mechanicalengineering or equivalent, with 5 or more years of experience in electricalsystems, refrigeration and/or HVAC, compressor and pump experiences.
Universal CFC certification.
Excellent written and verbal communicationskills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provideefficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability toeffectively present information.
Requires knowledge of financial terms andprinciples to understand and manage operating budgets. Ability to plan,forecast, monitor the site budget, calculate intermediate figures such aspercentages, discounts, and/or commissions. Conducts basic financial analysis.
