1. Roles and Responsibilities :
- Provide EHS technical advice and oversee EHS management
- Monitor progress against established KPIs and targets and support the plant in meeting the goals and targets in sustainability and EHS
- Develop strategies and plans to roll-out corporate policies and procedures and support the plant in the implementation
- Assure compliance to internal EHS policies and applicable local regulations through site visits, inspections and conduct EHS (ISO14001) annual audits
- Develop and deliver EHS training, education and awareness in support of policies and/or initiatives where applicable within the business
- Monitor and interpret applicable and emerging EHS regulatory changes in country and develop appropriate strategies for implementation
- Represent the company in external business interests and positions through organizational networking, building relationships with appropriate regulatory agencies, industry, etc
- Benchmark EHS performance with the industry and recommend improvements to raise the standards
- Lead in major incident investigations including but not limited to injuries, environmental releases, fires, and explosions and recommend appropriate preventive actions
- Communicate and share lessons from EHS incidents that impact on company operations in a timely, thorough, and effective manner
- Responsible for EHS talent management and mentoring, EHS development programs, goal setting, performance appraisals, and succession planning
- Coordinator for 6S training and audit
- Perform internal audit for environmental and safety
- Provide ESG (Environmental, social and corporate governance) data to the stakeholders
- Contact person for Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) industry coalition
2. Qualifications and Key skills :
- Degree, in Engineering or equivalent.
- Certified Lead Auditor in ISO14001 preferred
- Excellent knowledge of ISO14001 Environment Management System with at least 5 years working experience in Electrical/ Mechanical industry
- Knowledge in understanding of RoHS and REACH requirements
- Knowledge in Malaysian DOE Acts, Rules, Regulations & Orders
- Knowledge in Malaysian JKKP (aka DOSH) Acts, Rules, Regulations & Orders
- HIRARC / JSA
- Competent Person in scheduled waste is an advantage
- Working experience in manufacturing environment with strong operations process concepts, leadership, writing and communication skills, concepts and methodologies of Environment Management System.
3. Special skills (such as special certifications) :
- Safety And Health Officer certification by JKKP approved training providers
- CePSWaM – Certified Environmental Scheduled Waste Management
- CePIETSO (PSP) – Certified Environmental Professional in the Operation of Industrial Effluent Treatment System (Physical Chemical Process

Pay: RM10,000.00 - RM12,000.00 per month
