Job Description: Research Assistant (Manpower Services)## Executive Summary

The Ministry of Education (MOE), specifically the Character and Citizenship Education (CCE) Branch, is seeking a competent and analytical Research Assistant. This on-site role is dedicated to conducting robust data coding and meaningful analysis of educational data to directly support the CCE 2021 review efforts.

## Role Overview

• Job Title: Research Assistant
• Department: Character and Citizenship Education Branch
• Location: 51 Grange Rd, Singapore 249564
• Contract Duration: 1 Year (1 July 2026 to 30 June 2027)
• Working Hours: * Mondays to Thursdays: 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM (inclusive of a 1-hour lunch break)
• Fridays: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM (inclusive of a 1-hour lunch break)
• Note: Services are not required on Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted public holidays.

## Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will support research evaluation projects (such as Mid-Term and Full-Term reviews) through the following key functions:

• Data Gathering & Analysis: Collect and analyze data and feedback by engaging schools and various stakeholders.
• Methodology Management: Develop and manage surveys, focus group discussions, and research interviews.
• Data Coding: Code and verify quantitative and qualitative data strictly in accordance with specified research protocols and coding procedures.
• Project Management & Documentation: Document key processes of research/evaluation work, closely monitor progress, and provide regular project updates to the authority.

## Requirements & Qualifications### Education & Experience

• Education: Academic training in Data Science with a working knowledge of Statistics, Measurement, and Research methodology.
• Experience: A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in conducting research and data analytics.

### Technical Skills

• High proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced, expert-level capabilities in MS Excel.
• Strong familiarity with database management and analytical/statistical visualization software, specifically Tableau.

### Soft Skills & Core Competencies

• Strong conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Highly meticulous nature with demonstrated leadership qualities to drive results.
• Proven ability to work highly independently, collaborate effectively within teams, and deliver quality outputs under tight timelines

Pay: $1,800.00 - $2,800.00 per month
