Core Responsibilities

· Apply mechanical engineering principles to design, execution, fabrication, installation, commissioning, servicing, and improvement of industrial equipment and systems.

· Translate project, operational, and customer requirements into practical engineering solutions that meet quality, safety, environmental, cost, and schedule objectives.

· Prepare, review, interpret, or manage engineering drawings, calculations, models, and technical documentation appropriate to assigned role and level.

· Ensure engineering activities comply with applicable ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety), and ISO 14001 (Environmental) requirements, as well as statutory and regulatory obligations.

· Identify and manage technical, safety, and environmental risks, hazard identification, risk assessment, and control measures.

· Coordination with internal teams, suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure effective execution of engineering activities.

· Ensure engineering decisions consider manufacturability, maintainability, safety, reliability, environmental impact, and cost effectiveness.

· Maintain accurate, traceable engineering records in accordance with document and record control requirements.

· Contribute to continuous improvement, standardisation, and good engineering practices within the organisation.

Scope and level of responsibility will be adjusted according to experience, role level, and assigned function.

Functional Assignment

Based on competency and organisational needs, assignment may include:

· Design Engineering

· Project Engineering

· Production / Manufacturing Engineering

· Service / After-Sales Engineering

· Sales Engineering (technical support)

· Procurement / Technical Purchasing (engineering support)

Qualifications & Experience Junior Level

· Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

· 0–3 years relevant experience mechanical design, manufacturing, assembly, maintenance, or project execution.

· Knowledge of engineering drawings (2D/3D CAD), mechanical components, materials, and fasteners and manufacturing processes

· Familiar with project documentation, technical reporting, engineering calculation

· Willingness to learn and rotate across functions

· Knowledge or awareness of quality, safety, and environmental principles is an advantage.

Senior Level

· Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

· 5+ years relevant experience in one or more engineering functions

· Demonstrated expertise in

• Mechanical system design, calculation, and component selection
• Project and fabrication coordination, commissioning, or client interface
• Engineering standards, codes, and specifications relevant to industrial equipment

· Ability to lead or mentor junior engineers, review engineering outputs, and guide cross-department collaboration.

· Experience in technical problem-solving, risk management, Implementing safety, quality, and environmental controls (ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001)

· Strong communication and documentation skills; able to interact with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.

Candidates with 3–5 years’ experience may be considered at an intermediate level.

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM8,000.00 per month
