SONT PHOTONICS Hiring! Full Time Supervisor - Executive - Manager, Production in Pulau Pinang - Ricebowl

Job Responsibilities:

1. Lead, manage, and control the entire production team, including Leader and Operators, to ensure smooth and efficient production operations.

2. Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily production operations to meet output, quality, and delivery targets.

3. Support production teams in assembly, testing, and packaging of optical / electronic components.

4. Monitor and analyze production metrics: output, yield, scrap, downtime, and process deviations.

5. Collaborate with Engineering, QA, and Maintenance teams to troubleshoot and resolve production issues.

6. Ensure compliance with SOPs, ISO standards, cleanroom protocols, and ESD requirements.

7. Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, 5S, Kaizen) to enhance efficiency, reduce cost, and maintain high product quality.

8. Maintain accurate production records, reports, and documentation.

9. Train and guide operators and leaders on work instructions, quality standards, and safety procedures.

10. Perform ad-hoc production-related tasks as assigned by management.

Job Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering / Manufacturing / Optical / Electronics / Mechatronics or related field.

2. At least 2-4 years production and manuafacturing working experience in optical modules, electronics, or semiconductor manufacturing.

3. Proven ability to lead, manage, and control a full production team, ensuring targets and quality standards are met.

4. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, cleanroom operations, and quality standards.

5. Familiarity with ISO standards, SOPs, ESD control, and production reporting tools (ERP / MES systems).

6. Hands-on experience with process troubleshooting, productivity improvement, and team coordination.

7. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.

8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to lead or coordinate with operators, engineers, and cross-functional teams.
