A Commissioning (CX) Engineer is responsible for overseeing and managing the commissioning phase of projects to ensure systems and equipment are installed, tested, and operate according to the projects’ specification and standards. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and effective collaboration with project teams, clients and vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop commissioning plans, schedules, and procedures based on project requirements.
Review engineering drawings, technical documents, and specifications to understand system design and functionality.
Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to align commissioning activities.
Conduct inspections, pre-commissioning tests, and functional performance testing of systems and equipment.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues during the commissioning process to ensure optimal performance.
Verify system safety, reliability, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
Prepare and maintain detailed commissioning documentation, including test records, punch lists, and status reports.
Document any changes made during commissioning and ensure they are communicated to the appropriate teams.
Provide regular progress updates to project managers and stakeholders.
Work closely with engineers, technicians, and contractors to achieve commissioning objectives.
Serve as a technical resource to address client inquiries or concerns.
Ensure smooth handover of commissioned systems to operations or maintenance teams.
Key Skills and Competencies:
Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, or control systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, software, and testing equipment.
Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.
Relevant experience in commissioning, installation, or maintenance of systems and equipment.
Certification or training in commissioning processes is an advantage.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
