Job Description

Investment Internship Exposure (Real-World Experience)

Interns will gain hands-on exposure across institutional-grade investment and wealth management systems, covering advisory, trading, and portfolio construction workflows.

1. Wealth & Portfolio Advisory Experience

• Build and analyse real multi-asset portfolios using funds, ETFs, and model strategies
• Learn how advisors screen investments using metrics like risk, return, volatility, and diversification impact
• Observe how long-term income and retirement portfolios are structured across equities, bonds, and alternative assets
• Sit in on global fund manager briefings and investment seminars to understand macro trends and fund strategies
• Understand how client risk profiles translate into actual portfolio allocation decisions

2. Brokerage & Capital Markets Exposure

• Experience how real market transactions are executed across equities, ETFs, bonds, and structured products
• Learn how trading flows work from client order placement through to execution and settlement
• Gain exposure to margin trading, contra trading, and leveraged instruments in real market conditions
• Review institutional research reports and learn how analysts form market views and stock recommendations
• Understand how structured investment products are designed, priced, and distributed

3. Digital Trading & Retail Investing Experience

• Execute simulated or guided trades across global markets (US, SG, HK equities)
• Explore options and basic derivatives strategies in a simplified, retail-friendly environment
• Learn thematic investing (AI, technology, energy transition, global megatrends)
• Analyse investor behaviour using real-time price action and sentiment tools
• Understand how modern fintech platforms democratise access to global markets

4. Wealth Structuring & Intergenerational Planning

• Learn how portfolios are integrated with insurance wrappers, trusts, and structured investment vehicles
• Understand how wealth is preserved and transferred across generations
• Sit in discussions with legal and trust professionals on estate planning structures and corporate vehicles
• See how investment decisions connect directly to long-term wealth protection and succession planning

5. Professional Training & High-Level Networking Exposure

• Attend short, focused training sessions with a corporate lawyer specialising in banking and finance to understand real deal structures, compliance frameworks, and transactional workflows
