PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Bursary Operations Execution of the end-to-end bursary application process including announcement, applicant screening, eligibility verification, and documentation support.
- Fund Disbursement and Monitoring Coordinate the timely disbursement of bursary funds and maintain detailed records of fund utilization in alignment with approved budgets and financial controls.
- Data Management and Record Keeping Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of bursary applicants, recipients, and fund status; ensure compliance with institutional data privacy policies.
- Stakeholder Communication Act as the liaison for student inquiries and provide guidance on bursary eligibility, application procedures, and disbursement timelines; escalate complex issues to the Bursary Manager as needed.
- Administrative Coordination Assist in the preparation of financial reports, reconciliation statements, and monitoring tools to support the Bursary Manager’s oversight of fund tracking and audit compliance.
- Collaboration and Reporting Work closely with Finance, Student Affairs, Academic, and Registry departments to ensure seamless bursary processes; contribute to reports on student demographics, funding distribution, and impact outcomes.
- Regulatory and Policy Adherence Ensure day-to-day bursary operations comply with institutional policies, sponsor requirements, and national higher education funding regulations.
- Continuous Improvement Support Provide feedback and suggest improvements on processes, systems, or communication strategies to enhance bursary service delivery.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience in the Education industry with a minimum of 3 years of experience in student services, academic counselling and/or alumni management.
QUALIFICATION:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/ Management or related discipline.
