Job Purpose

We are looking for a skilled Release Manager. The Release Manager will own the end-to-end lifecycle of our software builds, deployments, and environment configurations. This position acts as the strategic bridge between product management, UI/UX design, and development/engineering teams. You will manage risks, establish deployment guardrails, and ensure seamless frontend, front office and back office system releases across complex Laravel, Fullstack, IoS Native, Java and React ecosystems.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Managing risks and resolving challenges that impact release scope, quality, and schedules
• Developing process improvement and release management tools/form along with scripts necessary for the construction, continuous integration, and deployment of software release
• Working with release engineers to comprehend code merges and branch ramifications
• Planning release windows and cycles across portfolios, components
• Conducting release readiness and milestone reviews
• Coordinating processes between different teams (possibly in various locations)
• Communicating crucial release plans and changes
• Producing deployment, implementation, and run books plans
• Ensuring that releases operate as per expectations
• Communicating necessary release details to business teams

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in software development.
• Proven experience in working/leading development teams.

Technical Skills:

• Experience 5+ years in DevOps/Release roles.
• Knowledge of GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
• Cloud Platforms on AliCloud, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Container Kubernetes and Docker ecosystem will be added advantage. Knowledge of version control tools, particularly Git.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, within development schedule and agile environment.

Pay: RM10,000.00 - RM13,000.00 per month
