Key Responsibilities

Migration and Technical Leadership:

- Ensure the use of Ørsted’s standard solutions and AWS technologies for all migrations

- Identify and address technical gaps by liaising with internal AWS development teams

- Oversee the migration of databases, focusing on Postgres transformation where possible

- Build efficient database migration processes across teams

Database Migration and Transformation:

- Migrate databases to RDS Postgres primarily from MS SQL and Oracle.

- Enable seamless migration and testing for databases from on-prem and Azure to AWS.

- Design and implement appropriate production monitoring and alerting in collaboration with the internal teams.

- Optimize Postgres Databases for operating in RDS.

Security and Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with Ørsted internal architect and development standards and best practices.

- Ensure compliance with Ørsted internal control framework (iSMS).

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:

- Work closely with Ørsted AWS IPL, Application Architects, Security and other teams to deliver integrated solutions.

- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment on technical and business goals.

Requirements

Technical Expertise:

- Strong experience in database transformation e.g. from MSSQL to Postgres or Oracle to Postgres

- Strong experience in all of the following database technologies: Postgres, MSSQL and Oracle.

- Proficiency in AWS migration services (Datasync, DMS & SCT)

- Proficiency in AWS technologies (RDS, DMS, EC2, EKS, Cloudwatch, IAM).

- Expertise in optimizing AWS resources for performance, security, and cost-efficiency

- Expertise with automated database deployment using Github Actions

Preferred Qualifications:

- AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional) or equivalent certifications.

- Experience with multi-cloud environments, particularly migrations involving Microsoft Azure.

- Familiarity with distributed network systems, serverless solutions, and cloud-based security.

Pay: RM10,000.00 - RM18,000.00 per month
