Job Summary

The IT Test Manager is responsible for planning, managing, and overseeing all testing activities for banking technology projects and applications. The role ensures that systems, integrations, and digital banking solutions meet business requirements, quality standards, security policies, and regulatory compliance before deployment to production.

Key ResponsibilitiesTest Management & Strategy

• Define and implement overall test strategy, test plans, and testing approaches.
• Manage end-to-end testing lifecycle across multiple banking projects.
• Estimate testing effort, resources, timelines, and budget.
• Establish testing governance, standards, and best practices.
• Ensure alignment with SDLC, Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies.

Test Planning & Execution

• Oversee:
• Functional Testing
• System Integration Testing (SIT)
• User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Regression Testing
• Performance Testing
• Security Testing
• Automation Testing
• Ensure proper test coverage and traceability to business requirements.
• Monitor testing progress and ensure defect resolution within agreed timelines.
• Coordinate production verification and post-deployment testing.

Banking Systems Testing

• Manage testing activities for:
• Core Banking Systems
• Internet & Mobile Banking
• Payment & Remittance Systems
• Credit Card Platforms
• Loan & Financing Systems
• AML / KYC Solutions
• Treasury Systems
• CRM & Customer Platforms
• Regulatory Reporting Systems

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, Project Managers, Infrastructure, and Operations teams.
• Coordinate with business users during UAT activities.
• Manage external testing vendors and offshore testing teams.
• Provide regular testing status reports to project stakeholders and management.

Defect & Risk Management

• Track defects, issues, risks, and dependencies throughout testing phases.
• Ensure critical defects are resolved before production deployment.
• Conduct root cause analysis and recommend process improvements.
• Escalate testing risks and quality concerns appropriately.

Compliance & Governance

• Ensure compliance with banking regulations, audit requirements, and security standards.
• Support internal and external audit activities.
• Maintain proper test documentation, evidence, and sign-off records.
• Ensure adherence to data privacy and cybersecurity policies.

• Experience in banking or financial services industry is highly preferred.
