Job Objectives:

Reliability Lab Technician plays a critical role in supporting product validation efforts. This includes executing mechanical and electrical tests, assembling test setups, monitoring test progress, and accurately documenting results. The technician ensures all testing is carried out in compliance with international standards such as ISO, EN, and BIFMA, contributing to the development of reliable and high-quality ergonomic products.

Key Responsibilities:

Test Execution:

Assemble and prepare test samples and fixtures based on engineering specifications.

Conduct physical product tests including:

• Cycle testing (up/down operations)
• Load and stress testing
• Stability and anti-collision testing
• Electrical safety checks
• Noise and vibration measurements

Equipment Operation and Maintenance:

• Operate testing equipment such as load cells, data loggers, multimeters, force gauges, sound level meters
• Perform routine calibration and maintenance of test tools.
• Ensure the lab area is safe, organized, and well-maintained.

Data Recording and Reporting:

• Collect accurate data during testing and maintain detailed test logs.
• Photograph and document product conditions before and after testing.
• Provide feedback on test observations and anomalies to the Reliability Lab Engineer.
• Assist engineers in preliminary analysis of product failures.
• Participate in teardown or inspection of failed parts.
• Work closely with lab engineers, quality engineers, and product development teams to support test execution and validation activities.

Requirements

• Require a diploma in engineering and minimally 1-2 years of experience in the field
• The position will be located in the Penang office
• Must be thorough in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
• A good written and verbal skill in English with the ability to communicate with external and internal teams is essential
• High focus on company’s goals and objectives
• Strong people’s skills to be able to work as a team member and contribute towards the growth of a healthy work environment at Actiforce
• Ability to present creative solutions and work independently
• Deliver high quality work under tight schedules and deadline

Pay: RM1,700.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
