Position: Lead, Structural Engineer

Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering and registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).
- Minimum twelve (12) years of overall working experience in offshore structural engineering involving design, fabrication, loadout, offshore transportation, installation, and commissioning for upstream Oil & Gas facilities projects.
- Proven experience in a similar capacity involving at least one (1) Wellhead Platform project and brownfield integration works.
- Strong knowledge in offshore structural analysis, topside and jacket design, lifting analysis, transportation and installation engineering.
- Experience in EPCC projects and familiar with offshore fabrication yard activities and project execution requirements.
- Able to review engineering deliverables, calculations, drawings, and technical specifications in compliance with client and international standards.
- Familiar with industry codes and standards such as API, ISO, AISC, DNV, and PETRONAS Technical Standards.
- Experience in tendering and proposal activities including technical write-up, manhour estimation, engineering scope development, and bid clarification.
- Capable to support projects from tender/proposal stage until project execution and completion (“roll-over” to project team).
- Good communication and coordination skills with clients, consultants, vendors, fabricators, and internal project teams.
- Able to lead and guide junior engineers as well as coordinate multidisciplinary engineering activities.
- Proficient in engineering software and structural analysis tools relevant to offshore engineering.
- Willing to work based in Teluk Gong, Klang and travel offshore or site visits when required.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead offshore structural engineering activities for offshore Oil & Gas EPCC projects.
- Prepare and review structural design calculations, reports, technical specifications, and engineering deliverables.
- Support tender and proposal activities including technical evaluation, estimation, methodology preparation, and client clarification meetings.
- Coordinate with project, fabrication, procurement, marine, and installation teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Review and ensure engineering deliverables comply with contractual requirements, project specifications, and applicable industry standards.
- Provide technical support during fabrication, loadout, transportation, offshore installation, and hook-up activities.
- Attend meetings with clients, subcontractors, and classification bodies as required.
- Ensure engineering deliverables are completed within project schedule and budget requirements.
- Participate in risk assessment, constructability review, and engineering troubleshooting during project execution.
- Mentor and supervise junior engineers and designers within the engineering team.

Salary range shall be commensurate with the candidate’s competency, relevant experience, capability in meeting the job requirements, and within the approved hiring budget.
Pay: RM5,500.00 - RM8,500.00 per month
