About this role
This role focuses on ensuring orders are accurately labelled, organized, and staged on designated pallets. The role supports shipping, receiving, and inventory activities, including preparing delivery documentation and entering shipment details into the courier and shipping systems to prepare order for delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming stock items manually or through inventory systems.
- Verify inventory computations by comparing to physical stock counts and investigate discrepancies.
- Pack, unpack and organize stocked items within stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.
- Maintain warehouse inventories in an organized and accessible manner.
- Pick orders for shipping and local deliveries.
- Assist with local delivery orders to nearby customers.
- Clean and maintain supplies, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Label stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labelling equipment.
- Ensure proper storage, identification, and stock placement based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities.
- Work in a manner that is safe for self, co-workers, customers, and products.
- Communicate and interact with customers regarding orders, shipments, and deliveries.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Diploma / Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Experience in shipping and receiving.
- Experience in Inventory Control, Reporting and Documentation.
- Knowledge of online shipping is an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products and email applications.
- Strong data entry, coordination, and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Able to lift a minimum of 60lbs unassisted.
- Able to safely operate forklifts and delivery vehicles.
- Positive attitude, dependable, energetic, and possess good time management skills.
- Able to always adhere to warehouse safety rules and guidelines.
- Drug test and background checks are required.
