Responsibilities

JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for an Architectural Drafter with 1 - 2 years of architectural drafting experience to join our Malaysia-based team and support architectural projects in Australia.

This role is suitable for some who is confident in architectural documentation, have strong attention to construction details and is willing to learn Australian building standards and documentation requirements.

The successful candidate will work closely with Australian architects, designers, consultants and project teams to prepare accurate and well-organised architectural drawings.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare architectural drawings and documents on using Revit and/ or Archicad.
  • Assist with concept design drawings, town planning documentation, design development and construction documentation.
  • Produce floor plans, elevations, sections, schedules, details and drawing packages.
  • Update drawings based on mark-ups and instructions from Australian architects.
  • Assist in preparing construction details with attention to buildability, material junctions, dimensions and coordination.
  • Coordinate architectural drawings with structural, civil, services and other consultant information where required.
  • Maintain clear drawing standards, file organization and documentation consistency.
  • Communicate with Australian project teams through email, online meetings and project management platforms.
  • Support the team in delivering accurate documentation within agreed timelines.


REQUIREMENTS

  • Mandarin and English speaker with good communication skills.
  • 1 - 2 years of experience as an Architectural Drafter, Architectural Assistant, Graduate Architect or similar role.
  • Proficient in Revit and/ or Archicad.
  • Good understanding of architectural drawings, construction documentation and building details.
  • Strong attention to construction detail, accuracy, dimensions and drawing coordination.
  • Able to read and interpret architectural plans, consultant drawings, sketches and mark-ups.
  • Able to work independently and follow instructions carefully.
  • Good management and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Willing to learn Australian architectural documentation standards.
  • Experience in Australian projects is an advantage but not essential.


PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Experience in residential, townhouse, apartment, childcare, commercial or fit-out projects.
  • Basic understanding of Australian construction methods, building materials and documentation workflow.
  • Ability to prepare clean and well-structured drawing packages.
  • Good problem-solving skills and practical approach to drafting.
  • Strong interest in developing a long-term career in architectural documentation.
