Job Overview
The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, expanding the customer base, and promoting the company’s aluminium extrusion capabilities across key market segments. This role requires a strong blend of technical understanding and commercial acumen to support both business development and customer solution alignment.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities within targeted market segments.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing customers to drive sustainable business growth.
- Promote the company’s full range of aluminum extrusion capabilities and value-added services.
- Analyze customer technical requirements and coordinate with internal engineering teams to ensure accurate project alignment.
- Lead the entire RFQ process, including cost analysis, quotation preparation, commercial discussions, and contract negotiations.
- Work closely with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Supply Chain departments to ensure successful project execution and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis, and prepare sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and performance reports for management review.
- Represent the company during customer visits, exhibitions, trade fairs, and other industry-related events.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Manufacturing), Business, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in Business Development or Sales within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong technical knowledge and understanding of aluminum extrusion processes and applications.
- Experience serving industries such as industrial manufacturing, building materials, plantation, and related sectors is an added advantage.
- Proven track record in acquiring new accounts and expanding customer base.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and willing to travel as required.
