The Role
Leading the full compliance function as a second line of defence, you will be responsible for:

• Designing and continuously enhancing the compliance programme across regulatory, investments, product and sales areas
• Conducting risk assessments and engaging senior stakeholders to identify and manage key regulatory and ethical risks
• Developing compliance policies and overseeing monitoring, reporting and timely escalation to senior management and board committees
• Creating and delivering compliance education and training to embed a strong ethics culture
• Managing investigations into potential policy violations or intermediary misconduct
• Leading, coaching and developing the compliance team

What We're Looking For
Our client is looking for a compliance professional who brings:

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, Law or Business, with a minimum of 10 years' experience in financial services compliance
• Preferably holding Modules 9, 10 and 11 of the Securities Commission Malaysia Licensing Examination
• Sound knowledge of fund management and the Malaysian regulatory landscape
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Proven leadership, analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
• High integrity with the ability to perform under pressure and take ownership of results
