Job Description

Responsibilities

Job Description:

Oversees and coordinates production planning and execution to meet company goals, focusing on timely delivery, quality standards, and ERP accuracy.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Manages work order planning and release, scheduling workflows across departments based on forecasts and lead times.
  • Ensures on-time delivery of materials/products in line with customer specifications and cost targets, working closely with QA to meet quality standards.
  • Identifies production bottlenecks and quality issues, driving continuous improvement and lead time reduction through lean initiatives and rework processes.
  • Manages plant operations, resource allocation, and budget compliance while aiming for cost savings, inventory reduction, and favorable standard costing variances.
  • Leads key initiatives including ERP (Epicor) implementation and risk management, while ensuring accurate production and inventory data in ERP.
  • Acts as liaison between Operations, QA, suppliers and customers, handling escalations, order status updates, and production feedback.
  • Expedites material flow from sub-tier suppliers, coordinates purchase orders, and ensures proper staging for assembly.
  • Provides regular updates on project status, production issues, and customer concerns; ensures all Stakeholders are informed and aligned.


Requirements:

  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and guide teams effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; capable of presenting and interacting across all levels of the organization.
  • Self-driven, hands-on professional who can work independently and delve into technical details, especially in dynamic or start-up environments.
  • Highly motivated with a positive outlook; able to identify and resolve challenges proactively.
  • Demonstrated success in leading teams in complex, multinational, and cross-functional settings.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills to build and maintain effective customer relationships.
