Responsibilities
Position: Finance Manager
Location: Malaysia
Salary Range: RM7,500 – RM10,000
Our client, a well-established company within the construction-related industry, is looking for a capable and hands-on Finance Manager to oversee the full spectrum of finance and accounting operations.
This role is ideal for finance professionals with strong accounting fundamentals, leadership capabilities, and exposure to construction or project-based environments.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the overall finance and accounting functions, ensuring smooth daily operations and accurate financial reporting.
Lead monthly financial closing and prepare timely management reports.
Monitor departmental policies, internal controls, and financial procedures to improve operational efficiency.
Work closely with department heads on annual budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Coordinate with external auditors on year-end audits and audited financial statements.
Oversee tax planning, compliance, and liaison with tax agents.
Manage company cash flow, liquidity planning, and payment approvals.
Review reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, prepayments, and supporting schedules for month-end closing.
Handle tax estimation and revisions when required.
Support management with ad-hoc finance-related assignments.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, or MICPA.
Preferably a member of MIA.
Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial interpretation skills.
Exposure to the construction industry will be an added advantage.
Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
Good communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
Experience with accounting systems; knowledge of IFCA will be an advantage.
