Compliance

  • Handle all enquiries and respond to regulators in particular Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) and Securities Commission Malaysia (SC); and ensure all regulatory reporting are met and submitted within the stipulated deadlines.
  • End to end ownership for development and implementation of compliance policies, procedures and controls to ensure proper lines of communication and information flow to all functional departments and key stakeholders with regards to compliance.
  • Review changes in processes for effective compliance and risk mitigation, also spearhead the risk and compliance committee with regular meeting and risk registration.
  • Advisory roles and/or training to all levels of staff and senior management on compliance and regulatory.
  • Identification, management, monitoring and mitigation of underlying risks and exposure.

Surveillance

  • Develop and continuously enhance a comprehensive market surveillance program for the digital asset exchange
  • Conduct the review of various trading activities on a daily basis to identify potential violations of regulatory provisions
  • Proactively identify market manipulative or deceptive conduct by regular reviews of trading activities
  • Review market conditions to proactively identify possible market situations could lead to price distortion
  • Enforce disciplinary actions such as imposing restrictions on erring market participants


Qualifications

  • Recognized higher diploma/degree with minimum 7 years’ experience in compliance and risk management.
  • Experience in AML/CFT and dealing with Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) is a MUST
  • Experience in Digital Financial Services is a STRONG PLUS. Skills
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both in speaking and writing.
  • IT savvy is a must, strong adoption in embracing the technology as day-to-day working tools.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work in a well-diversified team and possesses good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Have ‘whatever it takes to deliver’ DNA and out-of-the-box thinking, especially dealing with regulatory and stakeholders.
  • Strong integrity and work ethics.
