About the Role:

Brighton College (Singapore) is seeking an inspirational Head of Art to join our expanding school community from August 2026. This is an exceptional opportunity to lead and shape the artistic vision of the Senior School as Brighton College (Singapore) develops from a first‑class Prep School into one of the region’s leading all‑through schools, offering education from Pre‑Nursery to Year 13.

What you will be doing:

  • Take responsibility for the teaching, progress and attainment of all pupils in Senior School.
  • Lead on all aspects of curriculum planning and delivery.
  • Promote excellence, creativity and innovation in all areas of the Art curriculum.
  • Demonstrate commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Lead on assessment, tracking and reporting for Art.
  • Teach across all relevant Key Stages, including IGCSE/GCSE and A-level.
  • Act as an outstanding classroom practitioner, modelling best practice and high expectations.
  • Devise and oversee the department’s extension and enrichment programme.
  • Support pupils in applications to leading universities.
  • Work with the Heads of EAL and AEN.
  • Support transition from Year 6 to Year 7.
  • Develop curriculum and documentation.
  • Contribute to safeguarding and pastoral systems.
  • Act as tutor if required.
  • Contribute to co-curricular life.
  • Uphold the highest standards of safeguarding and child protection.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Undertake any other reasonable management requests in support of the school’s mission, vision and values.

Who we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Art with PGCE or equivalent.
  • Expert knowledge or experience of successfully delivering GCSEs/IGCSEs and A-levels.
  • Proven track record of middle leadership (preferred).
  • Able to support Design & Technology (preferred).
  • International school experience (preferred).
  • Superb writing and speaking abilities.
  • Exemplifies the Brighton College (Singapore) values of Curiosity, Confidence and Kindness.
  • An international outlook and understanding of working in diverse environments.
