We are seeking a hands‑on Technical Architect to work closely with technical architects, With Us, and systems analysts to shape, review, and govern the end‑to‑end architecture across digital banking platforms (retail and commercial) and payments channels.

This role is critical to ensuring that new initiatives and ongoing engagements are well‑architected, secure, scalable, and aligned to Client's enterprise architecture principles, while being deliverable within an agile, product‑centric delivery model.

The architect will be actively engaged across solution design, architecture reviews, technology choices, and design assurance, acting as a bridge between business intent, domain architecture, and delivery execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with Banking domain and enterprise architects to understand and align with the target‑state architecture for:

o Retail and commercial digital banking platforms (e.g. internet banking, mobile, digital channels)

• Payments and transaction banking platforms (e.g. cash management, real‑time payments, APIs, channels integration)
• Collaborate with Our leads, systems analysts, and product owners to translate business and functional requirements into robust solution architectures
• Provide hands‑on architecture guidance covering:

o Application and integration architecture

• API and microservices design
• Security, resiliency, performance, and scalability
• Review and approve solution designs for new engagements, change requests, and enhancements, ensuring alignment to:

o UOB architectural principles

• Non‑functional requirements
• Regulatory and security expectations
• Perform ongoing architectural assurance for in‑flight programs, identifying and addressing design risks, technical debt, and deviations
• Support pre‑sales and solutioning activities, including technical due diligence, solution shaping, and estimation inputs
• Act as a trusted technical advisor to both client stakeholders and internal delivery teams, enabling faster, higher‑quality decision‑making

Required Experience & Skills

• 12+ years of hands‑on experience in banking technology architecture, with strong exposure to digital banking and payments

• Proven experience working with tier‑1 banks, similar Singapore / regional banks
• Strong understanding of:

o Digital channels architecture (retail & corporate)

• Payments platforms, transaction banking, and channel integrations
• API‑led and microservices‑based architectures
• Solid experience in Java / Spring ecosystems, distributed systems, and integration patterns (hands‑on architecture perspective)
• SME in Camel 2 and later versions, ideally 4 and on migration from 2 to 4
• Deep understanding of non‑functional requirements (security, resiliency, performance, scalability)
• Experience operating within agile / product‑centric delivery models
• Comfortable working in onshore–offshore delivery models

Preferred Profile

• Experience working for a large Indian Service Industry, with familiarity in global delivery models and enterprise governance
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence without authority
