About the role
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Sonographer to join our team. As a Sonographer, you will be responsible for producing high quality images of internal organs, soft tissues, and blood flow through the use of ultrasounds. You will work closely with the medical team to diagnose medical conditions and help monitor the progress of treatments.
A summary of the key responsibilities are as follows
- Conduct ultrasound scans of internal organs, soft tissues, and blood flow within the body.
- Collect, analyse and interpret patient scans, ensuring that each scan is of the highest quality and meets the required standards.
- Provide detailed reports of the patient scans to the medical team.
- Maintain accurate records of all procedures and scans.
- Work alongside other healthcare professionals to diagnose and monitor patients' medical conditions.
- Ensure that all equipment is regularly calibrated and properly maintained.
- Manage patients in a professional and empathetic manner by maintaining a suitable environment, answering questions and giving clear instructions before and after procedures.
About you
- Diploma/ Degree in Radiography from a recognized institution and AHPC Certification is required with minimum 2 years of experience in a healthcare environment.
- Able to work in a team or independently with minimum supervision
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of diagnostic ultrasound procedures and associated medical terminology.
- Proficient in the use of sophisticated ultrasound equipment and software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
