Responsibilities
Department: Production / Kitchen
Reports to: Sous Chef / Head Chef
The Chef de Partie is responsible for managing a specific section of the kitchen (e.g. chocolate production, pastry, confectionery prep) and ensuring consistent quality, food safety, and smooth daily operations in line with Mr Bucket’s brand standards.
Production & Quality
Prepare and produce chocolates, pastries, or assigned items according to recipes and SOPs
Ensure consistency in taste, texture, and presentation
Assist in new product development, testing, and seasonal launches
Maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety (SFA compliance)
Section Management
Take ownership of assigned section and daily prep planning
Monitor stock levels, minimize wastage, and report shortages
Ensure equipment is used and maintained properly
Team & Coordination
Guide and support Commis Chefs / Kitchen Assistants in your section
Work closely with Head Chef & Senior Chefs and other sections for smooth workflow
Step in to support other sections during peak periods when required
Compliance & Standards
Follow all hygiene, safety, and company SOPs strictly
Ensure proper storage, labelling, and FIFO practices
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment
Minimum 1- 2 years relevant experience as CDP or strong Demi Chef de Partie
Background in pastry, confectionery, or chocolate production is an advantage
Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety regulations
Able to work in a fast-paced production environment
Team player with good attitude and willingness to learn
Passion for chocolate, desserts, and artisanal products
Detail-oriented and quality-driven
Open to learning bean-to-bar and specialty chocolate processes
Reliable, disciplined, and hands-on
