Core Responsibilities

• Incoming Inspection: Verify the purity, authenticity, and quality of raw materials, such as gold, platinum, diamonds, and gemstones, before production begins.
• In-Process Evaluation: Monitor pieces during casting, polishing, and stone-setting phases to guarantee design consistency and prevent mass defects.
• Final Product Testing: Conduct rigorous assessments on finished items, including pull and clasp tension tests. Check for symmetry, polish, and secure stone settings.
• Defect Documentation: Identify flaws, document non-conformities, and collaborate with jewelers and bench technicians to facilitate repairs or reworks.

Key Skills & Requirements

• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with metallurgy, gemstone grading, and jewelry manufacturing methods.
• Attention to Detail: High visual acuity and the ability to detect microscopic flaws.
• Tool Proficiency: Experience using jeweler's loupes, microscopes, calipers, and tension testers.
• Communication: Clear written and verbal communication to document issues and relay standards to the production team.
