Role Description

The Test Manager will oversee and manage the test transformation for our banking client, including planning, execution, and reporting. This is a contract role based on-site in Singapore.


Key responsibilities

  • Lead the transformation and modernisation of the testing practice.
  • Define and implement comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and testing processes & frameworks aligned with corporate guidelines and project objectives
  • Establish and continuously improve testing processes, standards, and best practices
  • Lead end-to-end test management across SIT, UAT, and other test levels/phases
  • Introduce and drive test automation initiatives, including rollout and adoption of automation tools and frameworks
  • Manage and mentor test teams, both onshore and offshore, providing leadership, supervision, and performance guidance
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, project managers, and technical teams to ensure alignment and delivery quality
  • Ensure effective defect management, risk identification, and mitigation strategies
  • Provide status reporting, metrics, and quality insights to senior management and stakeholders
  • Oversee the implementation and optimization of test management tools and platforms 


Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelors Degree in computer science or IT-related degree
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in software testing
  • Proven experience in test strategy, planning, and framework design
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across business and technical teams
  • Demonstrated team leadership and supervisory experience
  • Hands-on experience in test automation and/or test management tools implementation 
  • Proficiency in designing and managing Test Cases
  • Proficiency in Test Execution and Testing processes to ensure software quality and reliability
  • Experience in Test Management and coordinating testing activities across teams
  • Ability to develop and implement effective Test Strategy and manage test plans
  • Strong leadership and communication skills for cross-functional team collaboration
  • Knowledge of tools and methodologies for manual and automated testing is a plus
  • Relevant certifications, such as ISTQB, are advantageous
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Waterfall and Agile methodologies
  • Mandatory: Experience in the banking or financial services domain
  • Mandatory: Candidate must have experience in at least one of the following:: (a) Oracle FlexCube (Core Banking) (b) CGI T360 (Trade Finance) or (c) FIS ACBS (Lending Systems)
