Project Manager - Structured cabling

Salary: R200000.00 to R220000.00
The Project Manager is responsible for the overall delivery of allocated projects, acting as the main point of contact for clients and overseeing projects from design through to installation and handover.
The role focuses on ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards, while maintaining strong client relationships and supporting profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact for clients on design, operational, and commercial matters.
- Take overall responsibility for project delivery, financial performance, and profitability.
- Produce monthly financial and progress reports for internal management and clients.
- Manage project documentation and supporting financial records.
- Plan and coordinate design, production, procurement, and supply chain activities in line with project schedules.
- Coordinate labour, subcontractors, suppliers, and project resources to meet delivery requirements.
- Ensure project handover documentation is completed and issued.
- Monitor project teams to ensure contractual and commercial obligations are met.
- Provide regular project updates through meetings and internal reporting.
- Manage warranties and project close-out documentation at completion.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality assurance, and quality management standards.
- Oversee project deliverables to ensure they meet client and company requirements.
Requirements
- Strong experience delivering telecommunications infrastructure or structured cabling projects.
- Proven project planning and coordination experience.
- Experience managing project budgets, reporting, and financial performance.
- Ability to travel and attend site as required by project needs.
- Strong client-facing communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple sites, project activities, and competing priorities.
- Experience coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and project teams.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
- Experience delivering projects under formal subcontract or contract agreements.
- Good understanding of health & safety and quality management processes.
