About the job
Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur / within the Marketing Communications Department in Kuala Lumpur, the Graphic Artist works closely with Marketing, Events, F&B, and Rooms divisions to develop creative concepts. The Graphic Artist reports to the Communications Manager / Director of Marketing Communications.
As Graphic Artist, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- To produce and develop visuals, finished artworks of internal collaterals as well as supervise production of the hotel’s external collaterals assigned to appointed creative agency / agencies
- To produce visual and final artworks for Above The Line (ATL) items such as magazine advertisements, billboards, buntings, banners etc.
- To produce visual and final artworks for Below The Line (BTL) items such as posters, eBanners, eFlyer for digital screens (lift LCD screens, Front Office upselling slides, etc), flyers, eDM, backdrops, menu etc.
- To provide graphic support to various departments i.e. Food & Beverage, Front Office, Sales & Marketing etc.
- To produce hotel collaterals within monthly/ yearly budgets
As Graphic Artist, we expect from you:
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in graphic design, preferably in hospitality, luxury, or lifestyle brands
- Strong portfolio demonstrating creative and high-end design work
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); knowledge of After Effects or Premiere Pro is a plus
- Strong understanding of typography, layout, color theory, and branding principles
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain brand consistency
