Job Description

Responsibilities

About the role

You'll be SFA's eyes and ears on the ground — the first handshake, the trusted point of contact, and the person who turns industry conversations into membership partnerships. This role is about building genuine relationships across Singapore's FinTech ecosystem, understanding what companies need, and connecting them to the right opportunities within SFA.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify and engage prospective members across Startup, Corporate, and Partner tiers through events, industry touchpoints, and ecosystem networking

  • Conduct virtual and in-person discovery meetings to understand a company's background, strategic priorities, and challenges

  • Present and recommend the most relevant SFA membership plans based on each prospect's profile and goals

  • Gather feedback on value proposition gaps and escalate insights to the Head of Membership and relevant teams

  • Maintain accurate pipeline records — leads, meetings, follow-ups, and conversions — in HubSpot CRM

  • Build early, meaningful relationships with members — be proactive, not reactive

  • Conduct regular check-ins to surface member needs and connect them to the right SFA departments, programmes, or events

  • Track member health metrics: renewals, expiring memberships, churn signals, and re-joiner opportunities

  • Attend SFA and industry events during business hours to network, represent the association, and deepen prospect and member relationships

  • Know your numbers: new deals, sign-ups, expiring memberships, churn rate, and conversion metrics

About you

  • 3–5 years in business development, account management, partnerships, or a client-facing commercial role

  • FinTech, financial services, or tech ecosystem experience preferred

  • Naturally sociable, energetic, and comfortable striking up conversations — at events and beyond

  • Comfortable owning targets, tracking pipeline metrics, and reporting on performance

  • Clear, confident communicator — able to tailor messaging to different company profiles and seniority levels

  • Familiarity with CRM systems; HubSpot experience is a strong plus

  • Diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
